Michele Uhlfelder

A Baltimore native, and recent inductee to the National US Lacrosse Hall of Fame…Uhlfelder directs and coaches Wave & Coast to Coast Lacrosse. She has coached and mentored players of all ages and skill-sets, and has become known for developing and connecting with players at every level: youth, high school, college, and elite national. One summer apart, Coach U. advanced Coast to Coast L.A.’s U15 team to USLacrosse Nationals, served as Asst. Coach for TEAM Canada (helping them reach the World Cup finals and earning a historical Silver Medal) while directing Elite 150 DIII College Recruiting Camp.

 

15-year veteran of Team U.S.A: 2x World Cup Gold Medalist (1997 Tokyo - Player of the Match vs. Canada, 2001 London - 3rd highest American scorer; 6th highest scorer at World Cup)

 

Player at Univ. of Maryland: 4-year starter | 2X NCAA National Championship Runner-up | 2x NCAA All-Tournament Team | National Attack Player of the Year | 1st Team All-America | Team Captain 

 

College coaching and recruiting experience: Division I: 14yrs, Div.III: 3yrs

 

Occidental Head Coach: 2012 IWLCA West Region Coach of the Year | quickly transformed the team into a national contender |13-4 in only 3rd season making 1st NCAA Tournament, #2 West Region Ranking | advanced to SCIAC championship

 

Stanford Head Coach: 2004 & 2006 MPSF Coach of the Year  | Fast-tracked Stanford beginning in 2000 transforming into a national force | 1st program west of the Mississippi to crack top 20 and earn a bid to the NCAA tourney | 6 Conference Titles | Coached 1st All Americans & US Team players from the West Coast.

 

Assistant Coach: Duke University - 6 All Americans (1998-2000), Final 4 in program’s 3rd year | Old Dominion University – team’s highest CIF finish in history | Menlo School Lacrosse, Director of Player Development

 

Beyond the collegiate ranks, Uhlfelder has been responsible for promoting the growth of women's lacrosse nationally. She has run successful camps and developed club programs, which teach lacrosse skills, strategy, technique, raise the athleticism & level of player, provides opportunity to play regionally and nationally up to college.
