CLUB TEAMS
LA Wave
For players excited about lacrosse and that want to train their skills and knowledge of the game with coaches and players possibly from their schools and outside of their neighborhoods.
Players are grouped per their skill level and game readiness to maximize player and team development (so there is room for many levels (HS: JV & Varsity; MS: U11-U15.) Training teams (practice only) and Competitive teams (tournament travel) exist for both HS & MS. We guide players on the Competitive Teams to maximize their experience by attending 2/3 tournaments.
The Wave HS & MS teams compete in mostly regional tournaments; tournaments will be finalized based on team make up. While we believe in consistency being a key part of athlete development, player absence due to extended trips or camps can be accommodated. Training players do not have to travel.
Spending time in the system helps players prepare for the next step by gaining experience. We work at areas like stickwork, footwork, creativity, team offense and defense, specialty and position work, large concepts, stragegy, rules and game time score and clock management (to name a few.)
Coast to Coast
For the dedicated player that wants to play lacrosse in high school and beyond. Coast to Coast will compete regionally and nationally at high profile tournaments and recruiting showcases throughout the West and East. The LA Wave feeds the Coast to Coast teams, as players develop their competitiveness , skill and athleticism.
Players are grouped by age and may be selected to play "up" when level of skill warrants. Team chemistry is critical since Coast to Coast teams compete in the most competitive brackets. Large emphasis on high level team concepts, individual skill work & ball handling under pressure, repetition & progression of skill and strategy - making attendance highly consistent and necessary.
We emphasize game like fitness and preparation. This is a motivated player with high lax IQ and focus on becoming a complete player. We are many of the top teams in L.A. with players representing a wide range of high schools, and coming together to compete from many parts of L.A.
